  Napoli may have already decided where Victor Osimhen could play next season when his loan stint with Galatasaray ends next summer.  The 25-year-old forward fell out with the hierarchy at the Italian club and was exiled from the first team before being shipped out on loan to Turkey for the remainder of the 2024/25 campaign.  According to Soccernet, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, and a few Saudi Arabian teams had shown interest in signing Osimhen last summer but the striker’s wage demands seemed to have put off any deal.  The Nigerian forward also vowed not to play for Napoli again after the Italian club botched his anticipated moves to PSG and Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli.  Chelsea are still heavy favourites to sign Osimhen in the summer but Napoli seems to have other options as they have reportedly decided where the forward will play next season. Japan forward, Chinari Sasai claimed teamwork and togetherness contributed to the team’s victory over Nigeria. The former champions recorded a 2-1 victory over the Falconets in Bogota on Friday morning. Miyu Matsunaga and Maya Hijikata were on target for the Asians in the game. Shola Shobowale scored Nigeria’s only goal of the keenly contested encounter. “We knew that Nigeria is physically stronger and faster than us, but everyone was able to stay focused and score the first goal, and then the second. “I’m very happy because this is a victory we won together as a team,” Sasai was quoted by FIFA.com. NFF confirm deal with Bruno Labbadia is off; Eguavoen returns for fourth spell as Nigeria coach

  Through a press release on Friday night, the Nigeria Football Federation have announced that the agreement with Bruno Labbadia to take over as Super Eagles coach has fallen through.  The NFF had earlier announced that Labbadia would be the new boss of the three-time African champions and will resume his duty ahead of the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin and Rwanda. However, the Nigerian football governing body have now stated the former Bayern Munich striker will be unable to take charge of Nigeria due to circumstances beyond their control. If Labbadia were to become the coach of the Super Eagles, the NFF would have to cover the tax on his salary as mandated by German tax laws, a burden the federation is unwilling to bear.
